Flood at Glen Valley Farm – please help!
With recent flooding of the Fraser River, much of the Glen Valley Organic Farm Co-op in Abbotsford is under water. These farmers have lost over $40,000 in crops. Please help and donate to the flood relief effort for the farm! VanCity is currently offering matching funds for every donation–donate to the farm have your contribution doubled!
With a little help from you and me, these farmers will stay in business this season and remain for future seasons–help preserve a local farm! The land underneath is unharmed and these farmers are struggling to get ready to replant as soon as the water levels go down in the coming weeks. Glen Valley Organic Farm Co-op is home to multiple small farms, those worst hit are Close To Home Organics and Pitchfork Organic Farm.
