I am very proud to be working at Britannia Community Centre which is taking a leadership role in addressing First Nation’s Truth and Reconciliation. Britannia is so much more than a recreation centre and ever since its beginnings, has been a leader in social development programming working closely through an integrated services model with the Vancouver School Board, Vancouver Library and Parks and Recreation. Whether food security (hosting the Grandview Woodland Food Connection), youth and seniors programming and the work of many other community partners working on site, Britannia is a dynamic organization always responding to the relevant issues that the community is interested in.
Recently, on Sept 29th, Britannia hosted a Reconciliation Day of Action, bringing together a wonderful community of people to explore and dialogue around the issue of Truth and Reconciliation. Please check out this video below and see all the great work happening in our community.
